Creating a Google Ads Source

On the Conversionomics homepage, you will see a screen with all of your projects; select the project name you will be working on. If you need to create a new project, select the orange button that says "New Project" and follow the instructions

Once you select the project you want to work on, you will see a similar screen as shown below. Select the orange button that says " + New Source"

After selecting the orange button that says " + New Source"

Input the "Source Name" and select "Adwords" for the type, then click "CONTINUE" once complete.

You will then be redirected to the source's configuration screen.

From here you must select a connection that will allow the source to access data within Adwords. Then choose an account that contains the reports you wish to access.

In this section, select the report you want to pull into Conversionomics. Then list all of the fields within the report to include within the source.

For certain report types, you will also get the option to include Metrics and Segments.

Optionally, you are able to add a filter to fine tune the data you wish to pull. From here you can choose a field, then the operator that will be used for the comparison, and finally the value you wish to compare the field to.

If the data fits within the equation, then it will be included in the source.

Validation Configuration is a feature that allows you to check if the configuration would be able to load successfully. It will return invalid if it detects any conflicts between segments and metrics, or if there is something wrong with the filter.

Note: If the values for the spend field are significantly higher in Conversionomics than within the Google Ads API, then you will need to divide the values by one million in a query.

Finally, the Look Back Days option allows data within the number of days entered to be reloaded every time the source is run.

Once the required settings are filled, the configuration can be saved and the source will be ready to run.
